A shocking video has captured the moment a group of adults started fighting in a cinema during a screening of The Little Mermaid movie.

In the video, which was shared on social media, adults were heard yelling at each other in the darkness of the cinema in Orlando, Florida, US as the song ‘Under the Sea’ was heard in the background.

Other theatre-goers appeared to step in to try to defuse the situation but it is not clear from the video if the clash ends.

While a lot of the row was inaudible, some audience members seemed to become more frustrated at the situation failing to be resolved as they demanded a refund for their tickets.

A woman was heard saying: “I need a refund on my ticket, no. We need a refund. This is a kids’ movie. Oh my God.”

The video was shared to TikTok, with the witness saying they “took their daughter to see The Little Mermaid in Orlando and this happens.”

According to people in the comments, the brawl began when a young couple were spotted kissing in one of the rows and ignored pleas to stop.

However, it is not clear from the video why the fight broke out, or when it ended.

Other users took to the comments furious with the brawlers’ behaviour as they feel like it was ‘inappropriate’ to behave that way in front of children.

One bloke wrote: “And this is why I’ll wait for it to stream on Disney Plus. This behaviour is just straight uncalled for[,] especially in front of children.”

A third commented: “I would’ve been so mad. You paid your money to watch a movie and you have to deal with that.”

However, some users saw the funny side as one TikTok user said: “It’s the movie still playing in the background.”

Another penned: “Right during my favourite song too.”
