Donald Trump’s elusive wife, Melania Trump, will be watching tonight’s presidential debate from home, according to ABC. She’s known for avoiding key political moments and keeping son, Barron, home with her.

But Donald Trump did bring plenty of support, dragging several staff and some key family members with him to Philadelphia ahead of taking the debate stage at 9pm EST.

While he ditched his wife, he did bring famed controversial conservative media influencer Laura Loomer with him, traveling with him on his plane. Loomer has pushed multiple conspiracy theories about Harris, including racist and sexist attacks on the vice president.

According to ABC News, Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, and his wife, Lara Trump, who is also the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, will attend tonight’s debate.

Traveling with him from Florida to Philadelphia were Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz and former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who has been assisting Trump with debate preparation, will likely appear tonight. Also on board his plane was his lawyer, Alina Habba, and senior staff members Chris LaCivita, Susie Wiles, Steven Cheung, Corey Lewandowski, and Jason Miller.

Melania has, historically skipped out on debates and non-essential events. She avoided the June 27th debate against Joe Biden. She’s also stayed off the campaign trail. The former First Lady has skipped several significant events this year, including the 2024 election launch in Iowa and Trump’s Super Tuesday celebration.

When asked if she would hit the campaign circuit, Melania cryptically replied, “Stay tuned” – but has continued to avoid the public eye.

But some former staff members set to appear aren’t there to help Trump. Kamala Harris has reportedly gotten Anthony Scaramucci, Trump’s ex-communications director, and Olivia Troye, a former national security adviser in the Trump administration, to spin for her post-debate.

The two will join Harris in Philadelphia for the high-stakes 90-minute debate, set to air on ABC News at 9 p.m. ET. They will also address the media before the debate begins. This move is part of a broader strategy by Democrats to go after Trump on debate day, which also includes billboards mocking his focus on crowd sizes and an ad featuring former President Barack Obama.
