Crackers orange manbaby Donald Trump has praised “the late great Hannibal Lecter” as a “wonderful man”.

The US presidential hopeful dished out the bonkers compliment while speaking to a 80,000-strong rally at Wildwood, New Jersey.

He was slating the Biden administration for allegedly admitting migrants from mental institutions when his speech took a bizarre turn.

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.

Anthony Hopkins famously played the fictional serial killer

Trump asked: “Has anyone seen The Silence Of The Lambs? The late, great Hannibal Lecter. He’s a wonderful man. He often times would have a friend for dinner.

“Remember the last scene? ‘Excuse me, I’m about to have a friend for dinner,’ as this poor doctor walked by.

“But Hannibal Lecter. Congratulations. The late, great Hannibal Lecter.”

Without explanation he then pivoted back to his Biden tirade.

Sir Anthony Hopkins, above, won an Oscar playing Lecter in the 1991 film.

Social media users were baffled, with one posting on X: “ Donald Trump babbles on about a psychopathic, narcissistic cannibal serial killer.”

Trump boasted that there would be “a lot of women coming forward” once his 2016 run for the White House was announced, his former lawyer told a court.

The prosecution’s star witness, Michael Cohen, began his testimony about facilitating pay-offs for people to stay quiet about their alleged time with Trump.

Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger asked him: “Did he express to you any concern about negative stories about his personal life that might affect his candidacy?”

Cohen said “yes” and that Trump told him: “‘When this comes out,’ meaning the announcement, ‘be prepared there’s going to be a lot of women coming forward.’”

He then said Trump asked him to ensure a kiss-and-tell story by Playboy model Karen McDougal didn’t go public.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.

The trial continues.
